Highlight of the Event: Devin is accused of cheating by Prodigy eSports because he used a Recon Mobile Spawnpoint to parachute on top of a tower. The admins laughed Prodigy out of the tournament area.
20ID Daskro talks Competitive Battlefield with Sgt.Engima
Posted by Daskrolator on October 6, 2011 - 9:15 AM
20ID Daskro has a fun chat with Sgt. Enigma of QuanticMedia to discuss competitive battlefield both past and present and what the future holds for battlefield 3 and the teams that compete in them.
20ID will be participating in Gamersportal.com's "The Return of Competitive Battlefield" podcast event! This 2-part event (view schedule on the left) will kick off the competitive beginnings of Battlefield 3. Some know what the Alpha and Betas of Battlefield were, but not from the perspective of top Battlefield teams. Listen in as our panelists dive into discussions of weapon damages, squad perks, tips & tricks on how they dominate, and lots of other fun topics!
20ID, one of the premiere North American gaming organizations for the past 10 years and arguably the best Battlefield team franchise in North America, is looking for highly talented players to join our roster for the upcoming Battlefield 3 leagues and tournaments.
What we are looking for:
Expert infantrymen who can use all kits to their fullest potential. We need players that can act quickly and be proficient with any gun. We need someone we can trust to make the right decisions and get the job done on the ground. You must have a strong understanding of squad spawn dynamics and tactics. You must have exceptional aim; both in close quarters and long range combat. You must prove that you have an advanced understanding of BF “game flow”; knowing when, where and how to push or defend. You MUST be a team player and listen to orders when they are given, yet also be able to make critical decisions based on the best outcome for the team, not your individual score. You must have a positive attitude and mature. You must have strong communication skills and call things out. You must show up to practice and scrims consistently, which is typically Sunday – Thursday from 8:00PM-11:30PM EST.
Before you apply, we are almost exclusively considering candidates who have a track record. To put this in layman’s terms, if we have not heard of you or your team chances are we won’t put a lot of consideration into your application. If you send us a creative application, let’s say with a video of your abilities, then that will help if you are relatively “new” to the competitive scene. Your past experience does not have to be battlefield exclusive!
If you apply to join 20ID, we will assure you that your application will be 100% confidential. Applications are reviewed by senior members and vetted accordingly.
To apply, please send your application to daskrolator at gmail dottt com and jtc006 at gmail dott com with the following information:

With each passing day, we draw closer to the release of Battlefield 3, one of the most highly-anticipated games of 2011. October 25th will be an exciting day for all of us here at 20ID, as BF3 promises to be a fantastic experience and a triumphant return of a great franchise to the best gaming platform around.
EA and DICE recently took the wraps off their latest gameplay video, which focuses on the Rush map "Operation Metro". I had the chance to play this map and mode at E3 2011, and based on what I've seen so far, this game will live up to the hype. Enjoy!
